My children are getting older and coming up to the driving years. I converse with them quite often on how getting a car when you are young is a nice thing, but not a requirement for a parent. Growing up in a single-parent home, my mother purchased a car when I received my driver’s license to help with transportation. My children asked what kind of car I had and I told them it was a Used Chrysler. The car lasted throughout my teenage and college years, it was the best car. I told them I took excellent care of it and finally sold it to another teenager to enjoy for years out of it.
